September 24th, 2010

The board of the Community Legal Education Association, is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year and, as such, is holding a fundraising dinner on Sept 24th feauting guest speaker Julian Falconer.

Proceeds from the dinner will be used to fund CLEA’s work. CLEA is a registered charity that helps Manitobans learn about the law and our legal system by providing many services and programs, most of them free of charge, which help promote an understanding of our justice system. Some of the specific programs include:

-a free telephone legal information and lawyer referral service

-publications written in plain language about the law and legal system

-free presentations about the law for community groups and schools

-a training course about the law for community service providers

-an annual law conference

As a community agency, CLEA relies on the support of the private, public and volunteer sectors to make our programs a success. Please contact us to confirm your support or if you need more information about CLEA and our programming.
